GEOFRAME-BOVEC – Geomorphological and geochronological framework for drilling in the Bovec Basin as part of the second phase of the DOVE project
The GEOFRAME-BOVEC project provides the scientific basis for drilling in the Bovec Basin as part of the international ICDP program, which aims to reconstruct the glacial and climatic history of the Alps. Through geomorphological mapping, sedimentological analyses, geophysical measurements, and modern dating methods, researchers will examine in detail the traces of past glaciations in the Bovec Basin and reconstruct the extent and chronology of past glaciers. The data obtained will contribute to a better understanding of environmental and climate changes in the Alps over time.
