The 5th international meeting of the project took place in Faenza, Italy AIMS, which brought together researchers from across the Adriatic-Ionian region. By joining forces, we are developing and implementing an advanced system for monitoring and predicting landslides, supported by artificial intelligence algorithms for analyzing large amounts of data and machine learning. We are currently testing the system in six pilot areas. As part of the visit, we conducted a field survey of the Italian pilot area at the Settefonti landslide and other representative landslide sites, which were triggered during the catastrophic floods in Emilia-Romagna in May 2023, when more than 60,000 landslides occurred.
