In September, the IMOG (International Meeting on Organic Geochemistry) conference was held in Portugal under the auspices of the EAOG (European Association of Organic Geochemists), where international researchers presented their research, mainly in the field of organic geochemistry, but with a small part dedicated to research in organic petrology. The conference was also attended by Dr Neža Malenšek Andolšek, who presented her findings on the organic petrology of the Black Carnian limestones from Lesno Brdo, research which was carried out as part of her PhD thesis.
