ExtremEarth project launches 12 February 2025
GeoZS hosted the kick-off meeting of ExtremEarth, a major fundamental research project funded by the Slovenian Agency for Scientific Research and Innovation (ARIS). The project brings together seven partner organisations to study the impacts of extreme weather events on the Earth's surface in an interdisciplinary manner.

The event opened with welcoming remarks by Dr Jureto Krivic, Deputy Director of GeoZS, and Dr Mateja Gosar, Project Leader. ExtremEarth presents a unique opportunity for interdisciplinary collaboration and the development of innovative approaches to understanding the impacts of climate change on the environment.
