This year, our researchers are actively involved in the implementation of the Hydrogeology course for the 3rd year of the Geology 1st cycle (UN) study programme at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Engineering (NTF UL). In addition to lectures, we also conducted two field days. We visited the Temenica sinkhole, the Jezero waterworks and the central sewage treatment plant of the Novo mesto Municipality, the thermal water exploitation system of Terme Krka in Dolenjske Toplice, the source of the Krka River, the bottling plant of Radenska d.d., and the drilling of exploratory boreholes for the Kozjek pumped hydroelectric power plant, which is being carried out by IRGO for DEM. We also visited the bogs in the Ščavnica Valley, where a representative of the Nature Protection Institute of the Republic of Slovenia presented to the students the activities of the project. deProfundis.
