A vacancy exists for a Geographical Information Systems (GIS) professional to fill the post of Applications Programmer VII/2 (II) (DM code H097123) at the following address OE Geological Information Centre - application infrastructure.

In addition to the general conditions laid down in the labour law rules, candidates applying for a vacancy must fulfil the following conditions:

• at least a specialisation in higher education (previous) or at least a university degree (previous) or at least a master's degree (second Bologna cycle)

Job description:

• Work as assigned by the project manager.
• Developing and maintaining software applications.
• Server administration.
• Archiving systems and applications.
• Carrying out work on projects independently.
• Works under the direction of the Project Manager.
• Other work as assigned by the head of unit or the Director.

Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge and experience:

• Knowledge of GIS tools (ESRI, QGIS...).
• Good knowledge of spatial databases.
• Knowledge of network services for spatial data distribution (OGC, ESRI).
• Good command of English.

The successful candidate will be offered a permanent, full-time contract with a probationary period of 3 months.
