Vacancy for a PhD Assistant (DM code H019001) at OE Mineral Resources and Geochemistry.

In addition to the general conditions laid down in the labour law rules, candidates applying for a vacancy must fulfil the following conditions:

• PhD (previous) or MD
• election to an appropriate research title: at least assistant professor with a doctorate

Job description:

• Scientific research and project acquisition, management and implementation
• Publication of scientific and professional articles
• Work in the laboratory, in the field and underground if necessary
• Continuing education, keeping abreast of developments in the field and research developments worldwide
• Work as directed by the project manager
• Other work as assigned by the Head of Unit or the Director

Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge and experience:

• With a degree in a science or engineering discipline (preferably geology),
• With experience in international projects,
• Experienced in environmental geochemistry and mineral resources,
• With a category B driving licence,
• With a knowledge of English.

The successful candidate will be offered a fixed-term contract for a period of 1 year, renewable on a probationary basis for a period of 3 months.
