Consortium for Knowledge Transfer KTO - KTO3

Content
The aim of the project is to promote and accelerate cooperation in the field of intellectual property protection and commercialisation through an established and functional consortium of ten KTOs in cooperation with a consortium of three KTOs from Slovenian universities. This will improve the strategic patenting, commercialisation and economic exploitation of inventions as well as the development of mechanisms for knowledge valorisation and raising awareness of the importance of intellectual property and its effective management among all key stakeholders in the research and innovation ecosystem.
Another important objective of the project is to strengthen collaboration between public research organisations (JROs) in order to offer a more comprehensive range of knowledge and technologies to companies by organising joint (multidisciplinary) project teams and teams for planned spin-offs (of larger JROs) when specific industry demand or market opportunity justify it.
Another important objective is the harmonisation of approaches to contractual agreements arising from knowledge valorisation processes, such as the creation of common contract templates, guidelines for contract preparation, negotiations, evaluations, regulations and other documents to govern procedures within JROs and in collaboration with companies.
