Introducing the PhD themes of our young researchers - Ivana Perović
Numerical modelling of groundwater dynamics and transport of emerging pollutants in the light of climate change
The aim of Ivana Perović's PhD research is to develop a numerical model to simulate groundwater flow and transport of emerging contaminants in the inter-granular aquifer under climate change. The focus is on studying the impact of climate change on groundwater recharge in the Krško polje area and on the behaviour of pollutants under extreme conditions such as droughts and floods. The results will contribute to a better understanding of these processes and to the development of measures for the sustainable management of water resources.
The supervisor of the PhD thesis is Dr Anja Koroša.
