Lecture Rockfalls: a natural phenomenon in the new climatic conditions at the Triglav Rose Bled Infocentre
In a lecture on 8 October at the Triglavska roža Bled Information Centre, entitled Rockfalls: a natural phenomenon in the new climate, Dr Mateja Jemec Auflič outlined the results of several years of research on the impact of climate change on freezing and thawing cycles. She presented on the formation of rock sinkholes due to rapid changes in temperature, which cause thermal shocks and thus changes in rock stresses.
