European map of earthquake fault sources
Our colleagues Petra Jamšek Rupnik, PhD, and Jure Atanackov, PhD, participated in the creation of the European Map of Fault Seismic Sources under the leadership of Dr Roberto Basili from the Italian INGV Istituto Nazionale di Geofisica e Vulcanologia (INGV Istituto Nazionale di Geofisica e Vulcanologia). This map is an important resource for showing (active) faults at larger scales and for earthquake hazard research at a broader European level. More about the map can be found in the article NHESS - The European Fault-Source Model 2020 (EFSM20): geologic input data for the European Seismic Hazard Model 2020. The database is available here EFSM20 (available as shapefile and via the WFS/WMS service). Web Viewer: data can also be accessed via EPOS Data Portal (Seismology - European Fault Source Model 2020).
