Outdoor Exhibition, Gallus Embankment, August 28–September 28, 2026

To mark its 80th anniversary, GeoZS invites you to visit an outdoor exhibition that will run from August 28 through September 28 located at Gallus Embankment in Ljubljana.

The exhibition will introduce visitors to modern methods and equipment for exploring the Earth’s surface and subsurface—from advanced geophysical measurements and remote sensing to 3D modeling and the creation of geological maps. Discover how geoscientists contribute to the safe and sustainable development of cities, the efficient management of natural resources, the identification of modern, invisible pollutants, adaptation to climate change, and coexistence with geologically induced hazards. The exhibition showcases our research activities throughout Slovenia, with a special focus on the challenges, characteristics, and solutions related to urban development.

The exhibition is part of the Science Month 2026 program and this year’s European Researchers’ Night.

We cordially invite you to the opening and guided tour of the exhibition on Friday, August 28, 2026, at 1:00 p.m., on Gallus Embankment in Ljubljana.

Come visit us and discover how modern geoscience is shaping a safe, sustainable, and green future for our cities.
