We attended the EMODnet Geology project meeting in Copenhagen, which was attended by more than 60 experts from 31 organizations and 29 countries. Over the course of three intensive days, we reviewed the project’s progress, coordinated future activities, and further strengthened cooperation among European partners. We paid special attention to the development of new data products, including those related to organic carbon in sediments, geomorphology, the coastal zone, lithotectonic units, and areas affected by floods and tsunamis, as well as radiocarbon dating. We discussed future collaboration with other European initiatives and data users. EMODnet Geology is part of the broader European initiative EMODnet (European Marine Observation and Data Network), which aims to collect, harmonize, and provide public access to data on European seas.
