GeoZS warns that due to the forecast of heavier downpours today and tomorrow, September 9 and 10, 2026, an increased risk of landslides, especially in the area of southwestern and western Slovenia. The likelihood of landslides will increase in proportion to the amount of rainfall in other parts of the country as well.

Residents are urged to be alert for changes in the ground, buildings and slopes. In particular, look out for fresh cracks, subsidence and slips in the ground and surface water ponding. Call 112 if you notice changes in the ground or structures and if an avalanche is triggered.
