Geohazard

Members of staff of the Geological Survey of Slovenia, who have expertise in geological hazards, conduct analyses of systematically collected and stored geological data and define areas at risk and the degree of risk they are under.

The Geological Survey of Slovenia produces landslide hazard maps for municipalities and other areas of interest and participates in the development of information systems for warning about geological hazards. Furthermore, the experts of the Geological Survey of Slovenia prepare expert reports on geological setting and soil stability, which serve as expert groundwork in land development planning.
