Dr Anja Koroša from GeoZS and Dr Polona Vreča from the Jožef Stefan Institute visited the Federal Environmental Office FOEN in Bern, Switzerland, at the beginning of November in the framework of the IAEA national project SLO7001 and got acquainted with their work. They saw an example of good practice in national groundwater, surface water and precipitation monitoring and visited the laboratories for measuring radioactivity in the environment at the Federal Office of Public Health in Bern. At a meeting of the "Isotopes and Environment" expert group, they presented their work and the activities of both institutions.
