Geochemical Analysis of a Hydrocarbon Sample from the Ormož-1g Well (Northeastern Slovenia)
This article presents a study examining the organic geochemical characteristics of a hydrocarbon sample from the Ormož-1g well on the northern outskirts of Ormož (Hardek). The broader area is part of the Mura-Zala Basin in northeastern Slovenia. The main objective of the research was to assess the origin of the hydrocarbons, their accumulation, and thermal maturity through biomarker analysis. The results obtained provide a geochemical basis for further analyses of hydrocarbons in the Slovenian part of the Mura-Zala Basin and contribute to a better understanding of the oil potential of the area under study.
