Capitan Maurice – Implementing Solutions for Urban Water Resource Management in Central Europe

The Capitan Maurice project builds on the results of the previous MAURICE project, which was completed in June 2026. As part of this project, GeoZS collaborated on the development of solutions for sustainable stormwater management in urban environments, including the update of the hydrogeological map of Ljubljana with data on soil infiltration capacity. This data is crucial for planning measures to retain and infiltrate stormwater, as it enables cities to become more resilient to increasingly frequent extreme weather events. The new Capitan Maurice project is transferring the knowledge gained from the MAURICE project to a broader, Central European level. The partners will adapt the experience and solutions already developed to various urban environments.
