On 4 December 2025, the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Engineering of the University of Ljubljana hosted the award ceremony for the year 2025, where GeoZS received an award for its long-standing cooperation with the Department of Geology in the field of research, education and promotion of geosciences.

The award was received from the Dean, Prof. Dr. Andrej Šmuc, by the Director, Dr. Miloš Bavec. He took the opportunity to thank them for their outstanding cooperation and stressed the importance of the integration of science, education and practice.
