Presentation of the Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda: the Geological Survey for Europe in Brussels, 12 March 2025
The EuroGeoSurveys Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA) sets out clear objectives, priorities and actions that will support the energy transition and strengthen Europe's competitiveness. By focusing on geoscience data and subsurface knowledge, we aim to address key challenges such as climate change, energy security and sustainable resource management. With research, innovation and collaboration at the heart of our work, this agenda provides the scientific basis for the vision of the future Geological Survey for Europe - a sustainable, data-driven service that delivers key geoscientific insights to decision-makers, industry and citizens.
EuroGeoSurveys brings together 37 national and regional geological services and more than 10,000 geoscientists across Europe. We support the EU's strategic objectives, including the European Green Deal and the UN Sustainable Development Goals, with harmonised data and networks of experts. Together, we are co-creating a sustainable future driven by data support and innovation.
