We look forward to welcoming you to Čatež ob Savi, Slovenia for the 8th Regional Scientific Meeting on Quaternary Geology. The event is an excellent opportunity to exchange knowledge and ideas and to strengthen cooperation between researchers from the Adriatic, Alpine, Dinaric and Pannonian regions. Join us for discussions, lectures and a field trip in Slovenia.
The programme will take place Wednesday 4 November to Friday 6 November 2026.
The first circular is available here.
The meeting is dedicated to researchers working on Quaternary geology, geomorphology, stratigraphy, and related subjects. It aims to bring together scientists from the Adriatic, Alpine, Dinaric, and Pannonian regions and foster collaboration among National INQUA Committees from neighbouring countries.
The theme of the meeting, “Early Quaternary Archives,” will be the focus of keynote lectures and the field excursion. Contributions aligned with this theme are encouraged, but presentations on other aspects of Quaternary geology are also welcome.
The official language of the meeting is English.
