EPIKARST ZONE AND THE KARST AQUIFER BEHAVIOUR

A case study of the Hubelj catchment, Slovenia

Branka Trček

2003, 24 x 17 cm

Price: 20,00 EUR

The author represents her research work on hydraulic behaviour of the karst aquifer in the catchment area of the Hubelj spring. The basic research method was water tracing by means of natural tracers. The synthesis of data comprises the main characteristics of the epikarst zone, its role in the aquifer hydraulic behaviour and the resulting consequences. The results also verify the so-called epikarst hypothesis presuming that an important part of a karst aquifer recharge arrives from the epikarst zone. The book is written in English, but has an extended Slovene abstract.
