Their frequency and intensity depend on numerous factors, including geological, morphological, climatic, and human influences, as well as land use. The term &#8220;landslides&#8221; refers to slope mass movements involving different processes, dynamics, triggering factors, types of movement, and hazard potential.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>    <span><span lang=\"en-SI\" dir=\"ltr\">Source areas of landslides are locations where landslides are initiated, while deposition areas are zones where the sliding mass moves through the transport area and is ultimately deposited. Understanding these areas is essential for risk assessment and for developing strategies to mitigate the adverse effects of landslides. Although the methodology for identifying landslide source areas is evolving, the study of transport and deposition areas remains under-researched, despite the Water Act 2002, which classifies these zones as endangered due to soil or rock landslides (landslide-prone areas).<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>    <span><span lang=\"en-SI\" dir=\"ltr\">This research focuses on understanding the processes that occur after landslide initiation, including the transport and deposition of the sliding mass. The aim is to examine the influence of landslide typology, lithological composition, engineering geological characteristics, area geometry and geomorphology, and precipitation patterns.
