It\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN\" dir=\"ltr\">will help to improve evidence-based policy making in the integrated management of trans-boundary water resources in Euro-Asian area. By the end of the project, it is expected to have an:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"e218bb4261ac293e27b4d2c6506993a4d\">\n<p>            <span lang=\"en-SI\"><\/span><span lang=\"SL\" dir=\"ltr\">Enhanced understanding of climate change impact on water quality and quantity in transboundary basins<\/span><span lang=\"en-SI\"><\/span>        <\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"e661c439703cb3a858d248d0cb58356ec\">\n<p>            <span lang=\"en-SI\"><\/span><span lang=\"SL\" dir=\"ltr\">Strengthened institutional and technical capacity of participating isotope hydrology institutions; <\/span><span lang=\"en-SI\"><\/span>        <\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"e667f6f4d0b7d20cef3216186539dbf15\">\n<p>            <span lang=\"en-SI\"><\/span><span lang=\"SL\" dir=\"ltr\">Enhanced integration of isotope hydrology into the policy making.<\/span><span lang=\"en-SI\"><\/span>        <\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>    <span lang=\"EN-US\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>    <span lang=\"EN-US\" dir=\"ltr\">Currently, 42 institutions from 28 countries are involved. Slovenian partners are: Geological Survey of Slovenia, Jo\u017eef Stefan Institute and Environmental Agency of Slovenia.<\/span><span lang=\"en-SI\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>    <span lang=\"en-SI\" dir=\"ltr\">Slovenia has upgraded the existing research isotopic monitoring network along rivers Sava (Kredarica, Rate\u010de, Zgornja Radovna, Zelenci, Radovljica, Ljubljana, Krka and Kr\u0161ko), Drava (Ptuj) and Mura (Radenci, Murska Sobota and Murska \u0160uma). We also observe mineral water and CO2 springs in \u0160\u010davnica river valley.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>    <span lang=\"EN-US\" dir=\"ltr\">Monthly samples contribute to monitor dynamics of the water cycle and its changes - in precipitation, spring and river water, and groundwater. A sampling campaign of glacial and cave ice will also be performed. The JSI is verifying the comparability of samples for isotopic composition of water from different rain samplers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>    \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>    <span lang=\"en-SI\" dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Capacity building<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>    <span lang=\"en-SI\" dir=\"ltr\">We participate at annual project progress meetings in Vienna and plan several trainings, scientific visits, fellowships and expert missions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>    <span lang=\"en-SI\" dir=\"ltr\">K. \u017dagar (JSI) attended the Training Course on Isotope Enabled Water Balance Modelling Using the JAMS\/J2000 Modelling System in 2024.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>    <span lang=\"en-SI\" dir=\"ltr\">N.
