It features a wide range of magnifications; optical magnification from 20 to 500x and digital magnification up to 2500x (4x digital zoom). The microscope can be used in reflected light, transmitted light, polarised light and dark field.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0cm\"><span lang=\"SL\" dir=\"ltr\">It features high depth of field, advanced measurement functions, an easy-to-use user interface and state-of-the-art technology for sample analysis and 2D and 3D measurements that can be performed on-screen in real time. Features include measurement of point-to-point distances, angles, diameters, parallels and areas using the automatic edge detection function. Automatic analytics include grain counting, grain size analysis and ISO surface cleanliness analysis.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0cm\"><span lang=\"SL\" dir=\"ltr\"><u>Technical data<\/u>:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span lang=\"SL\" dir=\"ltr\">Camera with high-resolution 4K CMOS image sensor: 1\/1.7 inch, 12.22 megapixels, maximum 4168 (H) \u00d7 3062 (W) pixels, HDR, maximum recording speed 30 fps, electronic shutter release from 1\/60 s to 1\/19,000, JPEG and TIFF image formats;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"SL\" dir=\"ltr\">Light source - high intensity LED bulb;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"SL\" dir=\"ltr\">VHX-S750E freely rotatable observation system with motorised X-, Y- and Z-axis table and side VGA camera: integrated head mount with 180\u00b0 Z-axis tilt, 171 mm x 168 mm table, 40 mm X- and Y-axis travel and 50 mm Z-axis travel, Z-axis autofocus;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"SL\" dir=\"ltr\">High-resolution VH lenses: VHX-E20 (20-100x magnification), VHX-E100 (100-500x magnification), VHX-E500 (500-2500x magnification);<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"SL\" dir=\"ltr\">coaxial polarising filter set OP-88323;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"SL\" dir=\"ltr\">OP-88139 rotatable cross polarizer;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"SL\" dir=\"ltr\">27-inch colour LCD monitor, 3840 (H) \u00d7 2160 (W) pixels;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"SL\" dir=\"ltr\">1 TB hard disk drive unit with software;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"SL\" dir=\"ltr\">VHX-H5M software for 3D measurements.&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0cm\"><span lang=\"SL\" dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Access to equipment of equipment<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0cm\"><span lang=\"SL\" dir=\"ltr\">Regional Geology, Mineral Resources and Groundwater and Geochemistry programme groups, various research and commercial projects.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0cm\"><span lang=\"SL\" dir=\"ltr\">The digital optical microscope is useful for petrographic, sedimentological and palaeontological investigations. It is also useful for the analysis of environmental media, archaeological artefacts and other materials. The fast automatic 2D or 3D image compositing function allows the scanning of petrographic debris and large samples.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0cm\"><span lang=\"SL\" dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Equipment rental<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0cm\"><span lang=\"SL\" dir=\"ltr\">The use of the microscope is reserved for GeoZS researchers and is only possible in the GeoZS microscopy room. We also carry out microscopic research for external clients by arrangement.
